What this service is

Sarasota Mold Experts is a referral service. It passes your request to independent mold assessment and mold remediation companies that serve your area. It is not a mold company or a contractor, and it does not inspect, test, remove, remediate or rebuild anything. The site holds no mold license, and the word "Experts" in its name is part of the name, not a claim of credentials.

Free, with no obligation

Requesting quotes is free. You are never obligated to hire any company that contacts you. Companies may pay Sarasota Mold Experts to receive requests. The site does not rank or endorse companies.

The companies are independent

Companies that contact you are independent businesses, not employees or agents of Sarasota Mold Experts. Any contract for work is between you and the company you choose. The site does not verify licenses, insurance or workmanship and cannot promise that any company is licensed. Before you hire:

• Florida licenses mold assessors and mold remediators through the Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) under Chapter 468, Part XVI. Before you hire, look up the company's license at myfloridalicense.com (search by name or license number).
• Some contractors are exempt when working within their own license (s. 468.841). Ask which license covers the work.
• Get a written contract (s. 468.8422).
• Ask for proof of insurance. Florida law requires a mold remediator to carry at least $1,000,000 in general liability coverage (s. 468.8421).
• Ask for a written assessment or remediation plan.
• In Florida, a company that does the mold assessment generally can't also do the remediation on the same structure within 12 months, and vice versa (s. 468.8419). If you want a clearance test, use an independent assessor.

To the fullest extent the law allows, Sarasota Mold Experts and its owner are not liable for the work, prices, advice, conduct, licensing or insurance of any company you contact through the site, or for any loss that results from using the site or relying on its information. Your remedies for a company's work are with that company.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida.

Changes

These terms may be updated, and the date at the top will change when they are. Using the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
